They have a pretty impressive vegan menu which I was truly shocked they had. I was nervous my only option would be a salad lol
I got the vegan lasagna and it was amazing.! Definitely will be back again! -

I couldn't believe when I saw a vegan Italian restaurant with a separate vegan menu. I was in heaven.
They have a full course vegan menu: appetizer, main course, dessert.
I swear I wanted to get one of each! I did get 3 dishes.
Caprese Mozzarella: was good but expensive for the portion ($12)
Vegan lasagna: it was great! It even had vegan sausage. ($17)
Gnocchi Violetta: this dish was my favorite. I love gnocchi but I hardy ever see vegan version. This was delicious. ($17).
I took a star off cause if the prices. The portion didn't match the price.
I highly recommend this place. -

First time I came here, oh my god absolute 5/5 experience. But the second time.... ugh a little dissapointed. I'm not exactly sure what I had the first time but it was a white pasta with beef and it blew me away. The bartender was also very knowledgeable and recommended a great wine with the dish I ordered.
The second time.... wow could not have been a more different experience. The waiter was awesome, recommended his favorite wine and was actually kind of a clown. But the food we ordered really didn't hit home for me. I ordered the Caprese appetizer and the mozzarella did not taste fresh at all. Then we ordered the dish with Calendonian prawns, I was extremely disappointed. The waiter recommended this dish and it was just so "meh". The prawns tasted good but the sauce and pasta did not compliment it at all.
Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the service is great and because of my first time there. Next time I go I will definitely update the review. -

Read multiple positive reviews and given we were nearby decided to try Civico out. The place was crowded on a Sunday 8pm so a reservation would be safe.
We ordered the calamari, baby kale, melanzana affumicata, gnocchi zucha, scallops and cauliflower. My favorite by far and would highly recommend is the melanzana. The scallops and the gnocchi zucha were a bit of a disappointment they tasted a bit dull when compared to the melanzana. The rest were standard.
Ratings:
Melanzana: 8.5/10
Baby kale: 8/10
Calamari: 7/10
Gnocchi zucha: 7/10
Scallops: 6.5/10
Cauliflower: 7/10 -

I'm amazed at how almost every restaurant in Little Italy is packed each night. After dining here, I can see why this restaurant gets so much attention...even on a Tuesday night!
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night. On our reservation, he requested patio seating. However, we had to wait over half an hour for our table. I understand that nights can be spontaneously busy, but seems like communication among staff could be improved.
Once we sat down, there was still a bit of a wait. But when our charming server came with the warm bread and pesto, I was impressed. The pesto here is SO GOOD! It's one of the freshest pestos I've had and the bread is so fluffy. For our main entrees, we got the gnocchi and pappardelle funghi paired with a bottle of cabernet. Both were delicious! The pappardelle tasted like pizza in pasta form (but in a good way). Portions are very filling, and we were able to take the rest of the wine home. Civico also has a vegan menu option which seemed quite creative!
Overall, a great restaurant especially for a special occasion. The inside is very rustic and welcoming, but can get loud. I'm glad we ended up getting patio seating because it was such a nice night out!
